Optimist performance is excited to invite you on the next chapter of our SES Explorer Series Journey.
This is your chance to hear firsthand from pioneering explorers at the forefront of scientific discovery.
Join us to hear Will de Laszlo talking about the ultimate rowing challenge with a purpose.
Will served six years in the British Army before joining J.P. Morgan’s Family Office Division and later working in private equity on over 25 transactions. In 2014, he co-founded Agathos and has since focused on developing companies.
An Oxford MBA graduate, Will overcame significant dyslexia challenges to achieve academic success. He also co-founded the GB Row Challenge with Jim Bastin, aiming to create the world’s toughest rowing race with a sustainable, environmental focus.
Will is a Guinness World Record holder, having twice rowed around Great Britain (2005 & 2022). He’s passionate about ocean conservation, collaborating with the University of Portsmouth on a groundbreaking project to gather ocean health data during the GB Row Challenge. This unique race combines cutting-edge science with sport, as rowers collect vital data on microplastics, biodiversity, and more.
Every June, the adventure starts at Tower Bridge, London—an extraordinary journey blending science, sport, and sustainability.
JOIN US to hear Will talking about the race, its purpose and the skills required to take part. Find out more at GB Row Challenge and we look forward to welcoming you.
